I have always made things. I took this love of "making things" to Converse College and earned a BA in Studio Art in 2005. While I ws at Converse, I took two silversmithing courses and got hooked on silver. After college, I went to Ghost Ranch, of Georgia O'Keeffe fame, and took a month-long course on silver and inlay. This course took me to the next level. I then had the need to create jewelry, rather than just the desire to create it.

I enjoy the process, the hand tools, and making something beautiful and functional from raw materials. I cut, grind, and polish my own stones for many of my pieces, and build their vessels from silver sheet and shaped wire. I have very little waste in this process, which is important to me. I melt down my scrap silver and make the abstract castings that can be seen on the "pendants" page.

I live in Western North Carolina and work from my home studio.
